Consideration was given to a revised draft, submitted by the Minister for External Affairs, of the Republic of Ireland Bill, 1948, of which a previous draft entitled the 'Executive Power of the State (International Relations) Bill, 1948', was considered by the government on the 9th November, 1948.¹ The text of the Bill was approved subject to (a) section 3 being made section 1 and (b) consideration being given by the Attorney General to the question of inserting in the long title of the Bill, immediately after the word 'Government', the words 'and as and when advised by the Government'.
