Following consideration of a report by the Minister for Finance¹ and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry and Commerce² on discussions with the Ministers of Finance and Commerce of the Six Counties, it was decided to approve a proposal, which had resulted from the discussions, for an arrangement between the Government and the Government of the Six Counties for the joint acquisition of the Great Northern Railway Company (Ireland).
