League1 circles continue to regard Austria as being the real danger spot of the international situation, with Memel a good second. In those places, a conflagration could it is considered be provoked at any time. The existing relations between Poland and Germany are regarded as a sort of protection for Danzig, although the position there consequent on Nazi activities and on the attacks on the Constitution is becoming increasingly difficult. In the Secretariat it is known that Mr. Lester is having a pretty bad time, although the recent press reports regarding alleged incidents were hopelessly exaggerated, but it is said that he is 'keeping his end up well.'
