Please tell President High Commissioner saw King this morning and gave him the courtesy information. King asked High Commissioner to see Governor General and tell him from King that best thing to do in circumstances to resign. I think excellent constitutional precedent that there will be no British agent whatever in the procedure of resignation and hope President will let High Commissioner operate. High Commissioner here to-morrow in any case on essential trade matter. Wire President's direction to-morrow morning.
