BOUNDARY QUESTION

Reference was made to the arrangement verbally communicated through Mr. Loughnane that a preliminary conference between the representatives of the three Governments concerned on the subject of the Boundary question should take place on the 15th inst. It was pointed out that no written confirmation of this arrangement had been received and in view of this and of the uncertain position in Great Britain following the recent General Election it was felt that it would not be desirable to initiate formal steps in regard to the Conference at the moment.

It was arranged that the Minister for External Affairs should acquaint the High Commissioner in London with the general circumstances and with the Government's views thereon in order that he might ascertain and report upon the position as it exists at the moment.
