With reference to your call here on the 18th instant¹ and to the conversation which we then had in regard to an action which is being taken by Mr. L.H. Kerney in connection with certain articles by Professor Thomas D. Williams, I am directed by the Taoiseach to inform you that the Government do not think that the public interest requires that they should express any views on this matter.
