Letter from Colonel Richard J. Callanan to Seán Nunan (Dublin)
(G2/C/563) (Confidential)

Dublin, 26 September 1952

Reference your P. 211 of the 22nd instant.1

I am having enquiries made regarding the projected meeting of the Mosley group on the 17th instant. Meanwhile I have just received a report, consequent on your earlier enquiry of the 4th instant,2 which states that Sir Oswald and Lady Mosley returned to Clonfert Palace, Eyrecourt, on the 17th September, 1952, where they intend to stay for an indefinite period. They were accompanied by a young man, aged about 25 years, who is evidently to be employed as a clerk. It is understood that Sir Oswald is obtaining the services of a French valet who is to arrive shortly.

Arrangements are being made by Sir Oswald with the Dept. of Posts and Telegraphs to have his telegraphic address as ‘EUPHOR’, Clonfert, Eyrecourt, Co. Galway.

In view of the fact that Sir Oswald and Lady Mosley arrived in Galway on the 17th instant, I think it is unlikely that the meeting took place in Dublin on that date. However, I am pursuing enquiries in this connection and will let you know the result in due course.
