Extract from a handwritten letter from Michael MacWhite to Ernest Blythe
(Dublin)

Geneva, 28 September 1926

Dear Mr. Blythe

[matter omitted]

I hope you have all reached Dublin in good form and that Mrs. Blythe does not feel too tired after her trying time. As far as I can gather the Saorstát delegation has made a very good impression this year. The independent attitude it invariably adopted both in the Assembly and the Commission has been favourably commented on in diplomatic circles. With better preparation next year we could manage that no important negotiations could go on during the Assembly without our views being considered.

With best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
[signed] M. MacWhite
