Letter from John W. Dulanty to Joseph P. Walshe (Dublin)

I have, so far, declined to allow myself or this Office to be associated in any way whatsoever with the forthcoming Jubilee celebrations.1

I take it that the Department will agree that we had better be wholly and entirely out of these celebrations. The other tenants in this building, for example, are preparing decorations. I have said that there can be no decorations in our part of the building.

Again, Admiral Bromley has written offering this Office six seats at the Thanksgiving Service in St. Paul's Cathedral on the 6th May. I have urbanely declined acceptance of these seats.
